OSCR HW5 PCB Kit

Contains the following bare PCBs needed to build your own HW5:

• Main PCB (Rev 5)
• Six-Slot Adapter PCB (Rev 4)
• CIC Chip PCB (always black as it's not visible on the assembled reader)

No components are included unless you choose to add them. Preassembly for VSELECT and RTC is recommended if you want them as they require SMT soldering.

Options:

• Automatic Voltage Selection (VSELECT): Used to enable automatic voltage selection. This allows the firmware to set the voltage instead of having a manual voltage switch.
  • Not Included: No VSELECT components will be included.
  • Included, unassembled: Includes the SMT capacitors and resistors (1 spare of each type) and 1x TPS2113(A)PW, loose in an anti-static bag.
  • Included, assembled: Same as unassembled but pre-soldered to the main PCB. (No spares included.)
• Real-Time Clock (RTC): Used to timestamp files on the SD card properly.
  • Not Included: No RTC components will be included.
  • Included, unassembled: Includes the SMT capacitors (1 required + 1 spare), battery retainer, battery, and 1x DS3231MZ, loose in an anti-static bag.
  • Included, assembled: Same as unassembled but pre-soldered to the main PCB. (No spares included.)
• CIC Unlock Module: Used for dumping SNES carts with an SA1 chip.
  • PCB Only: Comes with the PCB only, no components will be included.
  • Included, unassembled: Includes a pre-programmed PIC12F629 and a Nichicon RR7-series 100 uF capacitor (same as in our other kits and pre-built OSCR, use this instead of the 100nF one specified in the build guide).
    • Note: If only SMT PIC12 ICs are in stock the IC will be pre-soldered to the PCB even when selecting unassembled.
  • Included, assembled: Same as unassembled but pre-soldered to the CIC PCB.
  • Note: No pin header will be included or attached regardless of the option selected. Also, the PIC12 may be the THT or SMT package type.

Warning: 0402 components are extremely difficult to install as they are smaller than a grain of rice (see here). If you select these options and have never soldered SMT components before, it is strongly recommended to include the assembly of VSELECT and RTC. You will not be refunded if you lose or damage any of the components!
