This is a customizable Nintendo GameCube (DOL-001) that you can order with the customizations/mods you want already installed.

Features

• All consoles are fully refurbished and tested:
  • The optical disc drive (ODD) is tested with a few games to make sure it is functional. The ODD may not be OEM/factory-original. If you prefer an OEM ODD simply note it in the order comments or send a message after ordering (no additional charge).
  • Completely disassembled and cleaned.
  • Fresh/brand new thermal pads installed.
  • All ports tested.
• Any options selected will also be tested for functionality before shipping.
• Although these consoles are refurbished, they are still used products that are 20 or more years old. As such, there will be some wear and tear. You should not expect a "like new" product.
• 1-year limited warranty on most components.

Available Customization Options

• PicoBoot
  • PicoBoot allows you to run software from a microSD card (not included) using an SD2SP2 module (included) which plugs into Serial Port 2 on the bottom of the console.
  • Updatable with a computer via USB. Accessing the USB port requires removing the top shell of the console.
  • Pico vs Pico W: Currently there is no functional difference. The project developer for PicoBoot intends to add additional functionality for the Pico W later. This additional functionality may require additional wires or components, it is unknown at this time.
• Flippydrive (Coming Soon)
  • Flippydrive is an optical disc emulator (ODE) that does not require removing the optical disc drive (ODD). This allows you to keep your ODD and still load applications from a microSD card as if they were on a disc in the ODD.
  • Can load some applications over WiFi.
  • Faster than SD2SP2 when loading from a microSD card.
  • Can be updated wirelessly (OTA updates).
  • Without the optional extension cable, you need to remove the top housing to access the microSD card.
• Laser Bear x BlueRetro Internal Bluetooth Controller
  • Up to 4 Bluetooth controllers can be paired at once.
  • Wired controllers are still usable.
  • When a wired controller is connected the Bluetooth controllers will move to open ports automatically.
  • LEDs in each port indicate where a controller is connected
  • Remote power control of the console via macro controls
  • Remote in-game reset via macro controls
  • Easy firmware update tool that only requires a Bluetooth-enabled device like a phone or computer
  • Multi-function reset button
  • Configurable button mapping using the web interface on a computer or phone
  • Replaceable socket for CR2032 (not included in international shipments due to shipping limitations)

• GCVideo DVI
  • Uses a Pluto IIx HDMI with GCVideo 3.1.
  • Direct digital video output with no analog intermediate for best quality.
    • Although GCVideo tries to make the output signal as standards-compliant as possible, some homebrew software uses video parameters that are too far away from normal video standards to correct them. Such homebrew software may not work with some displays.
    • GCVideo does not attempt to read the capabilities of the display, so it is possible to set the output to something that the display does not support, resulting in a corrupted or no picture.
  • Optional line doubler to convert 240p/288p/480i/576i modes to 480p/576p.
    • 480i/576i modes look very ugly with line doubling. If your display accepts these modes directly, it is recommended not to use it for them.
  • Optional scanline overlay with selectable strength hybrid factor.
  • User-friendly on-screen configuration controlled with a Gamecube controller.
• Accessory: Game Boy Player
  • This is a used official Nintendo accessory (DOL-017).
  • Allows the GameCube to play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges.
  • It does not use emulation. The Game Boy Player contains hardware that is nearly identical to that of the Game Boy Advance.
  • A boot disc is not included, however, the original software is widely considered inferior to the homebrew community's implementation of it, and as such it's highly recommended you use that instead.
• Noctua Fan Upgrade
  • Includes a Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX fan which has been customized/modified to work with a GameCube.
  • The adapter was designed by Retro Frog and is used with permission.

Not included but required:

• microSD card(s)
  • 1x microSD card for SD2SP2 (if PicoBoot is installed/selected)
  • 1x microSD card for Flippydrive (if Flippydrive is installed/selected)
  • Although the system will work without the microSD cards, you need them if you select both options to make use of all of the available features.
• Power supply (if not selected)
• Video cable(s)
• Controller(s)

Some of the parts for the available options are not stocked and won't be ordered/produced until you place your order. These parts are:

• Laser Bear x BlueRetro Internal Bluetooth Controller which is sourced directly from Laser Bear upon order.
• Noctua Fan Upgrade
  • The fan is not stocked and is sourced from Amazon.
  • The fan adapters are printed upon order.
• GCVideo DVI
  • The Pluto IIx HDMI is stocked but only 1-2 are in stock at any given time so it could run out.

Because these options are not stocked they can be delayed significantly if their source is only taking pre-orders.
